Cassidy Catrett grew up on her family’s farm in Luverne, AL where they raise Shorthorn cattle alongside a commercial herd. She has shown cattle and participated in a variety of livestock-based events at the local, state, and national levels. Cassidy is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she obtained dual degrees in Poultry Science and Animal Science. She was a member of the 2019 MSU Livestock Judging Team and has been actively evaluating livestock for over 15 years. Recently, she graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Masters in Animal Science. She remains at UT today as a Graduate Research Assistant while pursuing a PhD in Animal Science with a focus in beef cattle genetics.
